PLANTAR FASCIITIS
GONE FOR GOOD.
NOT JUST MANAGED.
NOT JUST MANAGED.
That first-step morning pain that makes you limp to the bathroom. You've tried stretching, orthotics, night splints, and rest. Plantar fasciitis is one of the most treatable conditions we see — and one of the most undertreated. Most patients are doing the wrong things for the right symptoms.

Understanding the Condition
WHAT IS PLANTAR FASCIITIS?
The plantar fascia is a thick band of connective tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot, connecting the heel bone to the toes. When it becomes irritated and degenerates — typically from excessive load, poor mechanics, or sudden training increases — it produces the characteristic heel pain that's worst in the morning or after periods of rest.
Classic Plantar Fasciitis: Insertional heel pain worst with first steps in the morning. The hallmark presentation. Responds very well to manual therapy, loading, and gait work.
Mid-Substance Fasciiopathy: Pain in the middle of the foot rather than at the heel insertion. Less common but equally responsive to the right approach.
Chronic Plantar Fasciitis: Symptoms present for more than 3 months. Standard stretching protocols have typically failed. This is where StemWave combined with PT produces the most dramatic results.
Bilateral Plantar Fasciitis: Both feet affected. Usually indicates a systemic loading problem — hip weakness, gait mechanics, or training load are almost always the driver.
Treatment Approach
HOW WE TREAT IT
Most plantar fasciitis is undertreated because people focus on the symptom site — the heel — without addressing what's causing the excessive load. We treat the fascia and fix the loading problem.
01
Manual Therapy & Immediate Relief
Foot and ankle joint mobilization, plantar fascia soft tissue work, calf release, and taping techniques that provide immediate pain relief and allow normal walking mechanics to return.
02
Loading the Fascia Correctly
Eccentric and heavy slow resistance loading of the plantar fascia — the evidence-based approach that actually stimulates tissue remodeling. Not stretching. Loading.
03
Fix the Loading Problem
Hip strength, foot intrinsic strength, gait mechanics, and training load management — so the fascia never gets overloaded again.
Typical TimelineAcute cases (under 3 months): 4–8 weeks. Chronic cases: 8–16 weeks, often significantly accelerated with StemWave.

STEMWAVE SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
Plantar fasciitis is one of the strongest StemWave indications in existence — particularly for chronic cases. The combination of PT loading protocols and StemWave shockwave therapy produces dramatically faster resolution than either treatment alone. If you've had this for more than 3 months, ask us about combining both.
